Zuill is one of the finest cellists in the world and has played with leading symphony orchestras such as the Los Angeles and Chicago. He won a Grammy for best solo performance for his recording of “Tales of Hemingway,” by Michael Daugherty, which he played on his last visit here. His celebrated album “Bach Cello Suites” was Number One on the Classical Billboard Charts. Zuill performs on a 1693 Matteo Gofriller cello. On Friday the program includes works by Bach,
Mendelssohn, Chopin and Elgar, and on Saturday Grieg, Boccherini, Coleridge Taylor and Cassado.
“Bailey is one of the most exciting cellists to come along in years.” The Kansas City Star.
