Currently, he is studying the Master of Music in Performance at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee under the tutelage of René Izquierdo. He has an Honorable Mention in the Bachelor of Music from the Conservatorio de las Rosas. He has offered concerts in important venues in Mexico and the United States, such as the National Museum of Art and the Latin Guitar Fest in Chicago. He has obtained 35 national and international awards, highlighting 1st place in competitions such as the Culiacán International Guitar Competition and the Querétaro National Guitar Competition. His style is characterized by an exceptional technical and musical balance. Antonio Laguna Barrientos, originally from Mexico City, began his training at the age of six with Juan Carlos Laguna and graduated with honors from the INBA Higher School of Music. He has taken courses with world-renowned teachers and has been a scholarship recipient of the National Fund for Culture and the Arts. His career includes recitals in Austria, Costa Rica, Spain, Holland, Italy, and Venezuela, and he has been a soloist with various important orchestras. Laguna has won numerous national and international competitions and is a frequent guest at guitar festivals as a concert artist and jury member. He has composed works for guitar and is founder and artistic director of the International Guitar Festival "The Most Transparent Region".
