Cuéntame Storytelling is Mexico City’s original Story Slam, an open mic for sharing real, personal stories. In 2025, Cuéntame is expanding its monthly Story Slam to San Miguel de Allende with a different theme each month.
January's theme is "Starting Over": Whether it’s a fresh start, a second chance, or the next step in your journey, this prompt invites storytellers to share true, personal stories inspired by this month's theme.
Format:
• Stories must be personal, true, and connected to the theme.
• Each storyteller will have 5 minutes to share their story.
• Stories are told without notes—raw, real, and from the heart.
• Participants can sign up upon arrival by putting their name in a hat. Names are drawn at random.
